When drought and ensuing severe water restrictions heavily impacted my turf business, I tried everything I could on a local level to change my situation.
Our family business has come a long way this year. There has been lots of twists and turns since the 9 January when Lachlan sent off his Horticulture Innovation Australia scholarship application for a spot in the Masterclass of Horticultural Business Course.
Water restrictions are what they are. They have been Townsville’s reality since late August 2015. If you are invested in your garden and outdoor lifestyle, when it comes to keeping things alive and looking good, the key is pro-actively making the most of the time you have to get the best results.
The idea of blogging is completely foreign to me. Lachlan certainly had a cackle to himself when our splendid business mentor, Roxanne Grey suggested it to us. The idea of writing in this format AND, more importantly, that someone might read it - - - blows my mind. I am way beyond nervous. I’d probably put it up there with jumping out of plane, but hey, what is one more step?
Here we go…
Write something about yourself. No need to be fancy, just an overview.
