If you are a Queensland small business and need help getting a grip on digital technology, there is currently a Small Business Digital Grants Program.
It is designed to help small businesses get access to digital technologies and services that will ultimately help them to work smarter.
With our expansion into four turf varieties, we decided to make the most of 2017 and embarked on a year of learning new skills. In February, we participated in the State Development Mentoring for Growth program. Several Mentors suggested that a website should be a priority to ensure that we are easier to find. From there, we applied for Round 2 of the Digital Grant and were delighted to learn of our successful application.
Enter Roxanne Grey, website extraordinaire. We were absolutely thrilled to bits when the Paragon Gardens website went live on 25 August. Now that we are out in the world wide web, we can’t believe that we resisted it for so long. For us, the idea became too overwhelming that it sat on our goal list for years (and years). We are grateful for the incredible opportunity the digital grant has provided our family business and for Roxanne’s outstanding help and expertise. Her enthusiasm is contagious.
As our grant experience is coming to a close, we have noticed that Round 3 has just been announced. It is matched funding of up to $10,000 (excluding GST) for the purchase of hardware, software and services. Round 3 closes on 24 October, so if you are keen, get in quick.
